1.

Twitter feed

takes the lead

giving need

socially

so totally

echo tunnel’d

the same thoughts

nothing new

individualism confirmed

to the point of no return

celebrate

not alone

cyber mate

2.

gluten free

gluttony

can only be

a consequence

of recompense

to my bowels

when they are

complaining

But it’s not coeliac usually

just another distraction

for our head

more circus

and more bread

3.

late night booze

glimpse of news

slight confuse

the next morning

hangover forming

headline’s gone

memory’s none

but I’m sure

the racist mud-raking the night before

was forgotten or unheard

only we

witnessed

bigotry

4.

overweight

contemplate

slow death fate?

or suddenly?

what’s best for me?

unclogged veins

possible

with right food

D.N.A gave my family weak hearts

and life is short anyway

hedonist

get pissed

live the risk

5.

love the world

unfurled

Sol whirled

it is all mine

week at a time

temporary

holidays

gone too soon

I’ll have to work forty eight more weeks now

I will dream of adventure

winter’s pray

don’t wish your

life away

6.

only God’s

lightning rod

gives the prod

for us to be

a completely

good being

but I don’t

think it’s true

theology psychology head fuck

there are intrinsically

good people

without that

church steeple

7.

know it all

meets brick wall

it’s your call

stupid loser

Dunning-Kruger

writes a verse

about the

distractions

that occupy my mind after forty

wasting my time and effort

writing shit

poetry

for no hits

8.

life should be

quite easily

full of glee

cynicism

is my prison

causing a

bleak outlook

for myself

just another straight white male born to fail

looking for a reflection

I mention

seeking more

attention

9.

distracted

compacted

redacted

size of a cow

where am I now

agnostic

self-doubting

sardonic

it’s time to get my priorities straight

loving family present

is always

the greatest

of phases
